St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY is seeking a skilled phlebotomist for a full-time, night shift role rotating weekends and holidays.

You will obtain quality blood samples for laboratory analysis, perform venipunctures, handle specimens, and support data entry and patient care. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited phlebotomy program, CPR and Phlebotomy Certification, and at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: To apply and contribute to the St. Joseph’s Health mission and values in obtaining quality blood samples for laboratory analysis to diagnose or monitor medical conditions. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, specimen handling, patient care and data management. This position combines technical and advisory skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or will graduate within 12 months of hire into role

Pay Range: $18.85-27.75

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
