Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities include data entry, drug purchasing and inventory control, and participation in Performance Improvement projects. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience and California Pharmacy Technician Registration or Pharmacy Intern Certificate in good standing.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a pharmacy preparing sterile IV admixture.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills and proper aseptic techniques.
• Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts.
• Experience in IV solution processing.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Registration certificate in good standing with the California Board of Pharmacy Technician or as Pharmacy Intern.
• Ability to maintain workload pace and collaborate across the Health System.
• 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.
