Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for our Outpatient Pharmacy. Under the supervision of the pharmacy technician team lead and pharmacists, you will prepare unit dose medications, assist in sterile compounding, and deliver medications to patient care units.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of pharmacy experience, a high school diploma or GED, and is registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy-related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare unit dose medications and sterile compounding under supervision.
• Deliver medications to patient care units and restock medication carts.
• Perform computer entry for missing doses, patient charges and credits, and other documentation.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and readiness for inspections.
• Deliver controlled substances to patient care areas according to policies and procedures.
• Maintain EMR and pharmacy computer systems knowledge as a user.
