Job summary

Walgreens Co. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Midlothian, Virginia. Under direct supervision, you will assist the pharmacist, operate pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, and coach technicians and cashiers to ensure accurate, efficient service.

You will help maintain inventory and support clinical services as required. You must have PTCB certification (except PR) and at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, with the ability to work evenings and weekends and obtain immunization

Qualifications

PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in locations under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system use and cash register operation.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Review prescription errors with the pharmacist and adhere to quality policies.
Lead pharmacy department inventory management and assist with clinical services as needed.
