Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager. You will enter patient information in pharmacy systems, assist with dispensing medications, and help manage inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification (with location-specific exceptions), at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, and fluency in English. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and store staff in dispensing and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs; verify accuracy.
• Check for possible drug interactions and advise appropriately.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and related KPI reviews.
