Job summary

Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join the inpatient team. The role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and ensuring timely delivery to patient care areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician experience: 6+ months in PCC or 2+ years hospital pharmacy.
• Arizona licensed tech with national certification (PTCB/ExCPT) required.
• BLS Certification and Medication History/Technician Product Verification preferred.
• Sterile Product & Cytotoxic Compounding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense and deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Sterile and non-sterile cytotoxic compounding per standards.
• Maintain accurate records and quality assurance documentation.
• Use pharmacy information software to process requests.
• Provide customer service at pharmacy window and triage calls.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Support medication use programs and reconciliation processes.
