Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Maryland Technician Registration or Maryland Pharmacy Intern Certificate or Pharmacy Student Technician Exemption Certificate acceptable for students enrolled and in good standing at an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• One year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Selects, packages, and labels medication orders for inspection and approval by a pharmacist with accurate data entry.
• Maintains, tracks, and monitors medication inventory levels per par levels and notifies stock needs.
• Uses order-entry systems, automated dispensing devices, bar-code technology, and related systems in daily duties.
• Delivers medications and pharmacy services to patients and care areas in compliance with standards.
• Calculates, measures, and compounds medications per USP 795/797/800 or related practices.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to resolve medication management needs with pharmacist oversight.
• Obtains detailed medication history from sources for pharmacist verification and specialized handling as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Leadership.
