Job summary

AdventHealth in Apopka, Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Lead to oversee technician training and onboarding, ensure quality practice, and support cross-functional pharmacy operations across multiple hospital facilities.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and implementation of best practices in medication preparation, inventory control, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and patient safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practice experience in an integrated health care system of three or more hospitals
• 3+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required
• NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) OR PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required

Responsibilities

• Oversees training programs and mentors pharmacy technicians and supports onboarding, competency validation, and peer development.
• Assists in identifying training needs and reinforcing best practices.
• Supports technician career development and contributes to the advancement of pharmacy technician practice.
• Executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows, systems, and operational programs.
• Maintains proficiency in all Tech IV functions and provides coverage in any core or advanced pharmacy practice areas as needed to address staff shortages, support program and service performance, and assure achievement of strategic goals across patient care areas serviced by the pharmacy team.
