Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing, labeling, and patient data entry. You will help manage inventory, assist with order fulfillment, and provide courteous service to customers at the store in Columbia, SC.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification, at least one year of experience, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends. Prior Walgreens experience and basic PC skills are preferred, with immunization certification obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with dispensing and labeling prescriptions per policy.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Maintain inventory and assist with order fulfillment and audits.
• Handle cash register and assist customers to locate OTC products.
• Support pharmacy team with customer service and clerical duties.
