Job summary

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, a part of The Cigna Group, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Elmhurst, IL site on site. This role ensures specialty prescriptions are processed, dispensed, and shipped accurately to help patients.

You will lead workload distribution, assist in training, and ensure adherence to SOPs while maintaining high productivity and safety. Illinois license and 1+ year experience required.

Qualifications

• Illinois state Pharmacy Technician license required.
• 1+ years Pharmacy Technician work experience required.
• General PC knowledge and e-mail abilities.
• Knowledge of dispensing pharmacy concepts and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate heavy work volumes.

Responsibilities

• Distribute workload and coordinate assignments for the team.
• Operate production equipment including labels, printers, and restocking.
• Inform teams of equipment malfunctions and coordinate with supervisor.
• Lead and back up teammates; provide training and guidance.
• Ensure SOPs and policies are followed; drive productivity and quality.
• Cross-train staff to cover production functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
