Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist by processing prescriptions, entering data in pharmacy systems, and assisting customers. Under supervision, you will help ensure accuracy, safety, and timely dispensing.

You will maintain inventory, assist with clinical services, and cooperate with healthcare providers. The role requires certification and one year experience, English fluency, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist by entering patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceuticals.
• Verify medicine accuracy and check for possible interactions.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and maintain supplies.
• Handle cash register and assist customers with OTC products.
• Support Quality Improvement and report prescription errors.
