Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Chicago seeks an experienced pharmacy consultant to lead cross-client engagements, optimize enterprise pharmacy solutions, and deliver measurable clinical and financial results.

You will partner with health-system leaders, clinicians, and Vizient teams to assess programs and guide implementation of strategic initiatives. You will develop recommendations, influence senior executives, and contribute to expanding consulting solutions and services across client accounts.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree (e.g., PharmD or BSPharm) required; master's in business or health admin preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in health-system pharmacy practice and consulting.
• Strong presentation and executive-level communication and client relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consulting activities across multiple client accounts and project teams.
• Lead project teams to achieve deliverables within timelines and budgets.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pharmacy and medication management programs across health systems, infusion centers, ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, and clinics.
• Develop strategic operating plans using industry-leading practices and benchmarks to improve value and efficiency.
• Lead formulary management and therapeutic interchange initiatives to standardize products and optimize medication utilization.
• Deliver consultative services that translate pharmacy insights into measurable client outcomes.
• Develop and enhance pharmacy consulting solutions, services, methodologies, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with client executives and clinicians to support project execution and sustained results.
• Create and deliver presentations to senior executives with clarity and confidence.
• Present insights and recommendations at national and regional forums.
