HewittRx in Hewitt, TX, seeks a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead clinical and regulatory oversight of our Texas compounding and dispensing operations. This senior role interfaces with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA to ensure safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharm.D., a Texas RPh license, 5+ years in pharmacy with compounding experience, and deep USP 795/797/800 knowledge. Strong leadership, SOP development, and QA program stewardship are essential.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist (RPh) license.
5+ years of pharmacist experience, with compounding experience.
In-depth knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards and their application to compounding.
Strong working knowledge of DEA regulations, controlled substances, and FDA oversight.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge of record with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, including DEA, FDA, USP, and TSBP requirements.
Maintain licenses, permits, and registrations in active status; respond to inspections and inquiries.
Lead daily operations for compounding, dispensing, verification, labeling, and distribution.
Oversee QA program, handling deviations, recalls, and medication error prevention.
Train and supervise pharmacy staff on controlled substances handling and DEA compliance.
