Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) for a growing compounding pharmacy in Hewitt, TX. The role leads clinical, operational, and regulatory activities, ensuring regulatory readiness and quality across workflows.

You will serve as the primary contact with regulatory bodies (TSBP, DEA, FDA), oversee compounding, dispensing, verification, documentation, and staff development. A strong leadership and regulatory background is essential.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required.
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist (RPh) license.
• 5+ years of pharmacist experience, including 3+ years in compounding or specialty pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of USP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of DEA, FDA, and pharmacy regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC and primary contact with regulatory agencies.
• Oversee compounding, dispensing, verification, and prescription workflows.
• Lead quality assurance, compliance, documentation, and medication safety programs.
• Develop SOPs and maintain regulatory readiness.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead clinical, operational, and regulatory activities for a growing compounding pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC and primary contact with TSBP, DEA, FDA, and other regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and USP , , and
• Oversee compounding, dispensing, verification, and prescription workflows
• Lead quality assurance, compliance, documentation, and medication safety programs
• Oversee controlled substances and DEA compliance
• Develop SOPs and maintain regulatory readiness
• Lead, train, and develop pharmacy staff
• Support regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective actions
• Collaborate with prescribers, clinical teams, and leadership

Requirements

• Pharm.D. degree
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist (RPh) license
• 5+ years of pharmacist experience, including 3+ years in compounding or specialty pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of USP , , and
• Knowledge of DEA, FDA, and pharmacy regulatory requirements
• Previous PIC, pharmacy leadership, or operations management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment

Preferred

• 503A/503B compounding experience
• PCAB or compounding accreditation experience
• HRT, peptide, regenerative, or functional medicine compounding experience
• Experience with TSBP, DEA, or FDA inspections
• Multiple state pharmacist licenses
