Job summary

HewittRx in Hewitt, TX seeks a Pharmacist-In-Charge to lead clinical and operational pharmacy activities, oversee compounding, dispensing, and compliance with state and federal requirements. The PIC will serve as the primary liaison with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA, and will work with executives to ensure safe, high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications include Pharm.D., Texas license, 5+ years of pharmacist experience with compounding, and strong knowledge of USP ,

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license.
• 5+ years of pharmacist experience, with at least 3 years in compounding.
• Deep knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards for compounding.
• Leadership experience as Pharmacist-In-Charge or in operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance and licensing programs for the pharmacy.
• Oversee daily operations: compounding, dispensing, labeling, and distribution.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for patient safety and quality.
• Manage DEA registrations, ARCOS reporting, and regulatory interactions.
• Collaborate with prescribers and clinical staff to optimize therapy.
• Oversee quality assurance, investigations, and patient safety initiatives.
