Job summary

MMR Consulting, a firm specializing in pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects, is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support our client operations in Raleigh, NC and at client sites. You will review designs, lead end-to-end electrical projects, and provide technical guidance across multiple disciplines, ensuring compliance and successful commissioning.

The role requires 6-8+ years in electrical engineering/construction with knowledge of LV/MV systems.

Qualifications

6-8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and electrical construction. Senior/SME level considered for more experience.
Knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage systems (up to 10kV; >10kV assets but not required).
Experience with electrical equipment and systems: Switchgear, Switchboards, Lighting controls, UPS systems.

Responsibilities

Work with the customer's in-house engineering team to review designs and submittals from A/E firms and vendor submittals.
Oversee electrical projects end to end from design through commissioning and close-out.
Provide technical guidance across design, project management, commissioning, validation, and startup of electrical equipment and systems.
Review technical data sheets and drawings for equipment and systems across voltages (low and medium).
Perform field walks to review progress and correctness of activities.
Participate in commissioning and startup of electrical systems.
Guide junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
