Job summary

MMR Consulting seeks an experienced electrical systems engineer to join our in-house team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role focuses on supporting electrical design reviews, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup across complex projects.

The ideal candidate has 6–8+ years in electrical engineering and knowledge of low and medium voltage systems. You will lead projects, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure owner requirements are met on site.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and electrical construction.
• Knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage systems (up to 10kV) with optional exposure to higher voltages.
• Experience with electrical equipment and systems such as switchgear, switchboards, and UPS.
• Demonstrated leadership to manage projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the client’s in-house engineering team to review designs and submittals to ensure owner’s requirements are met.
• Oversee electrical projects end to end from design through commissioning and close-out.
• Provide technical guidance in design, project management, commissioning, validation, and startup of electrical systems.
• Review data sheets and drawings for equipment and systems at various voltages.
• Perform field walks to verify progress and correctness of field activities.
• Coordinate meetings with cross-functional departments to drive progress and decisions.
