Job summary
NCW in Indianapolis seeks a Sr. Pharma Controls Engineer to lead controls design and integration in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical sites. The role demands deep hands-on automation experience and the ability to work with validation and quality teams to ensure compliant system implementations.
You'll work with DeltaV, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and Rockwell SCADA, review design docs, test strategies, and help guide system integrations and ASRS/conveyors. Independent SME capability is required.
Qualifications
- Direct experience in pharmaceutical / GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on controls and automation experience inside operating pharma facilities.
- Experience working alongside validation / quality teams.
- Comfortable operating within structured documentation and compliance environments.
- Emerson DeltaV experience strongly preferred.
- Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC experience required.
- SCADA such as Rockwell FactoryTalk and Ignition.
- Experience with automated systems: ASRS, conveyors, and system integrations.
- Experience reviewing technical design documentation.
- Experience reviewing or executing test strategies.
- Ability to function independently as a technical SME when needed.
