Job summary
Global Recruiters of Dublin is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for a pharmaceutical fill-finish facility in the Richmond, VA area.
The role supports IT/OT automation initiatives, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of manufacturing process controls, packaging lines, and instrumentation in a GMP environment. You will work with SCADA (Rockwell FTView) and Siemens PLC/HMI systems, perform problem solving, assist with SQL data handling, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive automation
Qualifications
- Master’s degree and 6+ years of Engineering/Automation experience or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, Data Integrity, and GAMP 5.
- Experience with Data Integrity and FDA guidelines in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Support automation across the facility and troubleshoot day-to-day issues.
- Work with SCADA (Rockwell FTView) and Siemens PLC/HMI systems.
- Assist database administration and SQL troubleshooting.
- Lead change control for automation and participate in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet GMP expectations.
- Design and test automation for process and packaging equipment.
