Job summary

OWL Services seeks a Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee and execute complex maintenance projects at commercial and retail sites. The role requires independent field leadership, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will manage heavy maintenance tasks from start to finish, coordinate with managers and inspectors, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in petroleum service, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong working knowledge of fuel systems, including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Proven ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in the field (lead technician or foreman level).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites.
• Diagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps.
• Uphold jobsite safety standards, including proper PPE use and hazard recognition.
