Job summary

OWL Services is seeking an experienced Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to join our field team. This role leads petroleum system maintenance projects beyond standard service scope, manages field work, troubleshoots complex issues, and ensures safe, high-quality completion without direct supervision.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in petroleum service or related fields, strong knowledge of fuel systems, and proven leadership in the field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on petroleum service, maintenance, or construction.
• Knowledge of fuel systems, tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Proven leadership in the field (lead technician or foreman).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Certifications related to petroleum equipment or environmental compliance (preferred).
• OSHA safety training (10/30-hour) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance on petroleum fueling systems at commercial sites.
• Execute repairs and replacements including spill bucket, STP, containment sump, piping.
• Diagnose system issues and develop field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps.
• Uphold jobsite safety standards and proper PPE usage.
