Job summary

OWL Services is seeking an experienced Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to lead and execute petroleum system maintenance projects beyond standard scopes. The ideal candidate will independently manage field work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high-quality, safe completion without direct supervision.

The role requires at least 5 years in petroleum service or related fields, strong knowledge of fuel systems, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on petroleum service, maintenance, or construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of fuel systems, tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish.
• Demonstrated leadership in the field (lead technician or foreman).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance on petroleum fueling systems at commercial/retail sites.
• Repair and replace components such as spill buckets, STP, containment sumps, drop tubes, underground/aboveground piping.
• Diagnose system issues and develop field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize and manage jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain daily reports, photos and material tracking.
