Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. in Dallas, TX, is seeking an Underwriter Personal Lines to manage applications, binders, and in-force policies while applying underwriting guidelines across multiple states and lines of business.

The role requires 5+ years of personal lines underwriting, advanced insurance terminology knowledge, and the ability to multitask and work independently. This is a hybrid role with both remote and on-site work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of personal lines underwriting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance terminology.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review new and renewal personal lines property insurance applications and policies to determine underwriting action.
• Make decisions on eligibility by assessing risk factors and exercising discretion.
• Serve as point of contact for customer/agent inquiries during the policy life cycle.
• Interpret underwriting guidelines to evaluate risk and determine appropriate handling of submissions.
• Order, review, and follow up on property inspections to assess findings and determine next steps.
• Meet service, production, and quality expectations on all work types.
