Qualifications

• 3–5 years of underwriting experience in property and casualty homeowners insurance.
• LA P&C Individual Producer license and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states.
• Strong knowledge of the underwriting process and analytics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills and systems knowledge.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews exterior inspection reports, new business submissions, risk alerts and follow-up tasks.
• Reviews requests for underwriter cancellation/nonrenewal action and endorsements for acceptability.
• Interprets manuals and contracts for multiple lines of business in multiple states.
• Researches and correctly enters information into the policy administration system.
• Communicates effectively internally and externally, escalating issues when warranted.
• Adheres to productivity and quality metrics.
