Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Product Manager for a Florida-based role in Sarasota. You will lead product strategy, pricing, and underwriting for personal property products, partnering with actuarial, underwriting, claims, legal, technology, and leadership teams to drive profitability and growth.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in personal lines product management, strong data analytics, and knowledge of catastrophe-exposed markets, with CPCU or similar credentials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience in personal lines product management, development, underwriting, or related insurance discipline.
• Strong understanding of personal property insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Experience developing, filing, and implementing insurance products, rates, forms, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of catastrophe-exposed markets strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze data and make strategic, market-driven recommendations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Professional designations such as CPCU or similar credentials are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead product strategy, development, pricing, and underwriting initiatives for personal lines property products.
• Analyze portfolio performance, market trends, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Develop and enhance insurance products, rates, forms, rules, and underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product enhancements and business initiatives.
• Support regulatory filings and respond to state insurance department inquiries as needed.
• Monitor catastrophe exposure, geographic distribution of risk, and capacity management strategies.
• Act as a product subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor, and develop members of the product management team.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, including expansion into new markets, states, and product offerings.
