Job summary

Carter Mario PC is seeking a full-time Personal Injury Paralegal in Connecticut to support the litigation team. You will manage caseloads, prepare trial materials, and coordinate depositions while ensuring compliance with CT civil procedures and firm SOPs.

The role requires a college degree in legal studies or paralegal certification and 5+ years of CT PI litigation experience, with strong client communication and organizational skills. Notary is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree in legal studies, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience handling personal injury litigation cases in Connecticut.
• Thorough understanding of case management procedures and CT civil procedures.
• Excellent service skills and professional communication.
• Strong organization and time management to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Notary Public a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigation cases.
• Prepare files for jury trials including exhibits and scheduling of experts.
• Prepare mediation and arbitration notebooks.
• Update case information with lien amounts and medical treatment.
• Maintain the litigation calendar including depositions and trial dates.
• Draft summons, discovery requests, and motions.
• Ensure timely filing of all complaints and notices.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and insurers professionally.
