Job summary

The Taylor Law Firm in Douglasville, GA seeks a experienced litigation paralegal to support two or more lawyers in the complex GA Personal Injury practice.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, handling document management, e-filing, requesting medical records, calendaring, and maintaining client databases, while ensuring deadlines are met and team collaboration.

Strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent English communication are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least five (5) years of GA Personal Injury Experience.
• Mush have at least five (5) years of GA Personal Injury litigation experience.
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Proficiency in English is a must.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Proficiency with e-filing is a must.

Responsibilities

• Draft all pleadings without guidance within the litigation department including, but not limited to: complaints, discovery, motions etc.
• Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness
• Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.
• Create and file legal documents and correspondence
• Scan, print and upload legal documents into client database
• Maintain contact lists
• Adhere to deadlines and multi-task
• Provide administrative support to two or more lawyers
• File all pleadings and other legal documents utilizing the appropriate case e-filing system
• Expected to assist in the litigation department by requesting Open Record Requests, calendaring for attorneys, and drafting documents.
• Expected to assist with other tasks as needed.
• Expected to track case costs
• Expected to verify receipt of demand letters, and calendar attorney due dates accordingly
• Expected to retrieve open records requests
