Job summary

First American Bank is seeking a Senior Personal Banker to join our Oak Lawn branch. You will lead sales conversations, develop relationships with customers, and help clients meet their banking goals through a full range of personal products and services.

The role emphasizes service excellence, mortgage proactive lending, and coaching less experienced colleagues. You will manage deposits, loans, IRAs, and online banking guidance while ensuring compliance and a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• College degree in business or related field a plus.
• Two years of personal banking experience required.
• Proven track record of sales and customer service experience required.
• Must be able to take loan applications and close loans.
• Possibility to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Source, develop, and manage relationships with new and existing customers.
• Take Home Equity and other retail loan applications and close loans.
• Mentor branch colleagues in sales conversations.
• Deliver tailored sales presentations to customers.
• Lead servicing of personal banking including mortgages, IRAs, and deposits.
• Assist customers with online banking and mobile technology; ensure excellent service.
