Job summary

Kearny Bank is seeking a Senior Personal Banker to deliver exceptional service to existing and prospective clients. The role manages the full client experience, executes transactions accurately, and builds strong relationships in a fully on-site branch.

You will identify retention and growth opportunities through needs-based conversations, refer appropriate banking products, and ensure compliance with AML/CFT policies while coaching branch staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years retail banking/cash handling experience required.
• Supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and coach team members to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Process routine and complex transactions (account openings/closings, deposits, withdrawals, transfers) per policy.
• Retain and grow client relationships by understanding needs and offering solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training for client support.
• Oversee daily branch operations, audits, cash handling and reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance including AML/CFT policies.
• Build client loyalty through courteous, professional service.
• Engage clients with consultative discussions about bank products and services.
• Refer appropriate products and coordinate across departments.
• Resolve client concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
• Lead branch staff with coaching and accountability for retention and growth.
