Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Permitting Lead to navigate Wyoming and Western U.S. regulatory environments.

Based in Denver with hybrid options, you will develop strategies, oversee large permit applications, coordinate with federal, state, tribal and local agencies, and mentor environmental professionals to deliver compliant projects on schedule and within budget. You will build client relationships, support business development, and lead stakeholder engagement while maintaining Jacobs quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• 10+ years in environmental planning, permitting, or project management.
• Experience with Wyoming permitting and complex state/federal processes.
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Reside within three-hour drive of Cheyenne, WY, or in Denver/Wyoming area.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental permitting strategy and execution.
• Ensure state and federal regulatory compliance.
• Manage client relationships and project teams.
• Coordinate with agencies for project approvals.
• Support business development, proposals, and scope estimates.
• Oversee QA/QC of technical documents and deliverables.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and public meetings.
