Job summary

Sempra Infrastructure Partners, LP is seeking a Senior Engineering Permitting Lead in Houston, TX. The role will act as the liaison between the Permitting Manager, E&C team, and EPC contractor to gather and review all technical documents required for permitting and agency authorizations.

You will interface with federal and state agencies (e.g., FERC, USCG, PHMSA), mentor junior engineers, and drive regulatory compliance throughout design and construction while applying sustainable design

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regulatory FERC/PHMSA experience or LNG project experience is required.
  • EIT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Permitting Manager, E&C team, and EPC contractor to gather and review all permitting documents.
  • Interface with federal/state agencies (e.g., FERC, USCG, PHMSA) for authorizations.
  • Mentor junior engineers in permitting activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead design and construction oversight to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles to reduce environmental impact.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and QA protocols.
