Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. seeks an experienced Environmental, Health, Safety & Training professional based in Houston, TX.

The role focuses on obtaining and coordinating state and federal environmental authorizations, including USACE Section 404/10 and related permits, to support pipeline, storage, and midstream projects. The candidate will develop permitting strategies, monitor regulatory changes, and maintain strong relationships with regional regulatory personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, biological science, engineering or other relevant technical field preferred.
  • Ten or more years of consistent linear project permitting experience, primarily CWA/USACE and state permits.
  • Experience with USACE permitting processes: Section 404, Section 10, Section 408 and NEPA obligations.
  • Established relationships with regional USACE districts (Fort Worth, Galveston, New Orleans).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Proven track record in overcoming regulatory challenges to maintain schedules and control costs.
  • Knowledge of pipelines, storage facilities, and oil/gas-related operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee state/federal authorization requests and related permits.
  • Develop permitting strategies to maintain project schedules without compromising compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable environmental regulations (CWA, NEPA, etc.).
  • Promote communication among internal stakeholders, project management, third-party contractors, and regulators.
  • Provide weekly permitting updates to NEPA Senior Manager and stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts to ensure project compliance with authorizations.
  • Oversee field surveys and reporting related to natural and cultural resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory personnel and third-party contractors.
