Sempra Infrastructure in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a liaison between the Permitting Manager, E&C team, and EPC contractor to gather and review technical documents for permitting and agency authorizations. You will interface with federal and state agencies (FERC, USCG, PHMSA) and mentor junior engineers in these activities.

The role requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field and 8 years of related experience, including 5 years in regulatory FERC/PHMSA or LNG

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of related engineering experience.
  • 5 years of regulatory FERC/PHMSA experience or LNG project experience.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering in Training (EIT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves design and construction issues during project implementation.
  • Integrates sustainable design principles to reduce environmental impact.
  • Conducts structural analyses to optimize designs for cost, constructability, and sustainability.
  • Collaborates with regulatory agencies to secure permits and ensure compliance.
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight through design and construction phases.
  • Implements quality assurance to ensure compliance with specs and safety regs.
  • Maintains detailed project documentation and develops innovative solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Provides technical guidance and oversight throughout design and construction phases, including site inspections and structural assessments.
  • Implements quality assurance protocols to ensure adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintains detailed project documentation and develops innovative solutions to improve outcomes while staying current with industry advancements.

Education
  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
  • Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
  • Requires 5 years of regulatory FERC/PHMSA experience and/or equivalent LNG Projects experience.
Preferred Licenses And Certifications

Fundamentals of Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification is preferred.
