Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an experienced RN Clinical Periop Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality, compassionate perioperative care. Ideal candidates will hold a Georgia RN license (or compact), have 5+ years of direct nursing experience, and be proficient in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or multi-state compact).
• Current BLS; ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice.
• Delivers relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
• Collaborates with the care team to coordinate and document safe, quality patient care.
• Participates in performance improvement and shared governance.
• Supports protocols and policies and evidence-based practice.
• Mentors staff and serves as a preceptor.
