Job summary

Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a skilled Sonographer to record detailed images of fetal anatomy and other anatomy using advanced ultrasound equipment for prenatal diagnosis. You will interact with patients, explain procedures, adjust equipment settings for optimal images, and ensure patient comfort.

You will prepare preliminary findings for physicians and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with 2–5 years of experience.
• 2 years high-risk/level II OB ultrasound including fetal echo.
• Experience with US-guided invasive fetal procedures including amniocentesis and CVS.
• BLS CPR from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or equivalent registrations (if hire).
• Various ultrasound certifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures per department standards and physician orders.
• Operates all ultrasound equipment, computers and accessories.
• Demonstrates competency in imaging processing procedures (PACS).
• Identifies and initiates accurate assessment of life-threatening conditions.
• Maintains daily patient log and adapts to on-call needs.
• Troubleshoots equipment and coordinates with service personnel to minimize downtime.
