Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Perfusionist to maintain and monitor perfusion equipment in collaboration with IT and Clinical Technology teams within the OR, ECMO, VAD, and MCS environments. The role includes ensuring maintenance, staff coaching, and support for CVICU and OR operations.

You will participate in quality improvement, scheduling, training, and ensuring documentation compliance while contributing to cost-saving initiatives and capital planning for the perfusion service.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Perfusion program.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Perfusionist.
• Bachelor's degree in a science or health-related discipline plus 4+ years in the field OR 7+ years in the field.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors perfusion equipment with IT and Clinical Technology teams.
• Assists with perfusion staff reviews and trainings.
• Develops cost-saving opportunities and provides input on capital requests for perfusion service.
• Prepares staff work schedules including standby coverage and assists with staff outreach.
• Supports OR and CVICU operations by developing pars, ordering supplies, and tracking consumables.
