UCSF Health is seeking a Principal Perfusionist to serve as the highest-level expert in perfusion services. This role provides advanced patient care for the most complex cardiac cases, including adult, pediatric, neonatal, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support, in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons and ICU teams.

The Principal Perfusionist will guide clinical practice, lead quality initiatives, and mentor staff while supporting program development and cross-campus operations.

Qualifications

• Accredited perfusion education program completed.
• Current CCP credential from ABCP.
• BLS certification.
• 3+ years of progressive perfusion experience.
• Expertise in adult, pediatric, neonatal, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support services.
• Experience leading quality improvement and program development.
• Mentoring staff and serving as a clinical resource.
