Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Lead Perfusionist to provide expert clinical oversight and mentorship for a team of perfusionists. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion Education Program.
• Minimum of 1 year at Level IV Clinical Perfusionist or equivalent advanced experience.
• Knowledge of supervision principles and practice.
• Knowledge of perfusion equipment, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and cardiac disease.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full scope of perfusionist duties including cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, and mechanical circulatory support cases.
• Serve as clinical consultant and mentor for perfusionists, students, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Ensure proper and safe functioning of equipment to promote safety.
• Lead and support performance improvement and adherence to CI-CARE standards.
