Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Principal Perfusionist to serve as the highest-level clinical and technical expert in perfusion, ECMO, and quality improvement. The role leads complex adult, pediatric, and neonatal cases, mentors staff, drives program development, education, and research, and collaborates across departments.

Candidates must have CCP, accredited perfusion education, BLS, and 3+ years perfusion experience to ensure exceptional patient care and continued program growth.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited perfusion education program.
• BLS certification.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible perfusion experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in adult, pediatric, neonatal, transplant and mechanical circulatory support services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the most complex adult, pediatric, neonatal, transplant, and MCS cases.
• Provide expert consultation to physicians, nursing leadership and perfusion staff.
• Advise on program development, quality initiatives and strategic planning.
