Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing the San Juan VA Medical Center with an onsite Board Certified Clinical Perfusionist. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of perfusion experience and ABCP certification, with a strong track record of handling high-volume cardiac cases.

Ideal candidates live within 30 minutes of the facility and will participate in bypass surgeries, valve replacements, and related perfusion duties, including machine setup, operation, and maintenance of heart-lung devices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of clinical perfusion experience.
• Performed at least 1000 clinical cases.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of San Juan VA Medical Center.
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program – School of Perfusion Technology.
• ABCP Certification and current on all continuing education requirements.
• Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgeries and valve replacements.
• Responsibilities include reviewing the patient record prior to surgery to review the surgeon’s plan of care.
• Other duties include preparation, operation and maintenance of heart-lung machines and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgical cases and valve replacements.
• Review patient records before surgery to align with surgeon's plan.
• Operate and maintain heart-lung machines, auto transfusion pump, IABP, and centrifugal devices as required.
• Provide intraoperative perfusion support and post-operative monitoring as directed.
• Ensure compliance with ABCP CE requirements and licensure.
