Job summary

Sierra Support Center seeks a Lead Performance Test Engineer to drive performance testing across complex applications. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on testing and leadership, with scripting in LoadRunner and JMeter, SAP testing experience, and REST/OData API expertise.

Cloud architecture, APM tools, and CI/CD integration are highly valued. Remote work is available within India with an immediate to 15-day notice period.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in performance and load testing, with at least 2 years directing performance work carried out by others.
• Hands-on scripting experience with LoadRunner and Jmeter.
• Demonstrated experience scripting SAP applications for performance testing, including SAP GUI or SAP Fiori.
• Experience performance testing REST and OData APIs, including correlation of session tokens and dynamic payload values.
• Working knowledge of cloud and SaaS application architecture: auto-scaling, load balancing, multi-tenancy, API gateways, and rate limiting.
• Able to analyze results and identify root cause rather than only reporting response times.
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Splunk, and with reading system-level metrics.
• Able to explain performance risk in terms a business stakeholder will act on.
• SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) performance testing experience, including REST API scripting and storefront load modeling.
• Appvance experience is a plus. Appvance is in use across the wider QA organization.
• Familiarity with SAP performance analysis tools and backend trace interpretation.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Background in enterprise e-commerce or B2B platforms operating at high transaction volume.
• Experience putting performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing efforts and direct the work of others.
• Create and maintain load and performance test scripts using LoadRunner and JMeter.
• Script SAP performance tests for SAP GUI or SAP Fiori.
• Test REST and OData APIs with proper session token correlation.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and communicate risk to stakeholders.
• Align testing with cloud/SaaS architectures including auto-scaling and load balancing.
• Utilize APM tools (Dynatrace/AppDynamics/Splunk) and read system-level metrics.
• Support CI/CD integration of performance tests.
• Advise on performance improvements based on data-driven findings.
