Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletics Department seeks an Associate RDN to provide comprehensive nutrition services and serve as a senior performance nutrition practitioner. You will develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition strategies for student-athletes, oversee fueling stations, and support team dietitians and the internship program.

You will collaborate with nutrition, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, psychology services, food service, and staff, working independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Master’s degree with DPD requirements.
• 3 years of experience as a dietitian.
• Must be a Registered Dietitian.
• Strong clinical skills in medical nutrition therapy.
• Knowledge of performance nutrition principles and strategies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced athletic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition services to the University of Nebraska Athletic Department.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition strategies for student-athletes.
• Oversee fueling stations and support sports dietitians and the student internship program.
• Collaborate with nutrition, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, psychological services, food service, and team staffs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership; work non-standard hours as needed.
