Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletics Department is seeking an Associate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to deliver comprehensive nutrition services to student-athletes and to serve as a senior performance nutrition practitioner within the department.

You will develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition strategies, oversee fueling stations, and collaborate with multiple departments while supporting interns and staff; a non-standard work week and possible travel are required.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in medical nutrition therapy
• Knowledge of performance nutrition principles and strategies
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced athletic environment

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition strategies for student-athletes.
• Oversee fueling stations and support sports dietitians and internship program.
• Collaborate with nutrition, sports medicine, strength & conditioning, psychology, food service, and team staffs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and work a non-standard schedule including nights, weekends, and travel if needed.
