Qualifications

• A degree in auditing or related field (business, finance, public administration or accounting) is required.
• Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years in performance auditing; may include college-level education and training with auditing knowledge.
• Specialized certifications: CIA or CPA obtained via examination, or equivalent degree with substantial auditing coursework.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or limited quick response audits, consulting and advisory services, risk management, and liaison with external audit organizations.
• Develop audit plans and risk assessments to identify internal control improvements.
• Conduct interviews and briefing of employees and officials involved with programs under review.
• Prepare audit working papers and ensure compliance with governing standards (GAGAS/GAAS).
