We are seeking a Senior People Operations Business Partner - Buckner Retirement Services (BRS) to join our team committed to delivering outstanding service to our employees. As a Senior People Operations Business Partner - BRS, you will play an important role in aligning People Operations initiatives with organizational objectives as a strategic partner. What you'll do:

  1. Collaborate with business leaders to align People Operations strategies with business objectives.
  2. In partnership with the Senior Director People Operations – BRS, develop and implement talent strategy to meet current and future business needs at assigned communities.
  3. Act as a coach and trusted business partner to leaders and People Operations associates.
  4. In partnership with People Operations associates, review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders.
  5. Provide business leaders with advice regarding management of complex employee relations concerns or performance/behavior concerns and documenting actions taken.
  6. Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions.
  7. Use insights and evidence-based data to develop and implement solutions to improve organizational effectiveness at assigned BRS communities.
  8. Assist the Senior Director, People Operations – BRS by coaching, guiding, and supporting People Operations field staff in effectively delivering People Operations solutions.
  9. Lead complex internal investigations. Ensure internal investigations are completed in alignment with established SOPs. Review supporting documentation and provide guidance to People Operations field staff.
  10. Support community recruitment efforts by participating, as requested, in final interview processes.
  11. Ensure onboarding processes are followed at assigned communities to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
  12. Support Buckner leadership with the performance management processes, including performance reviews and coaching.
  13. Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with People Operations leadership and business leaders to implement efforts.
  14. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  15. Update and enforce Buckner policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
  16. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting Buckner values and initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
  3. At least seven years of progressive HR experience, including partnering with leadership teams.
  4. Proven experience in interpreting and applying federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  5. Experience in driving change initiatives and leading efforts to improve processes, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
  6. Capable of influencing and coaching managers and leaders to adopt best practices and foster a positive work culture.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Business acumen with the ability to align People Operations strategies to business needs.
