Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior People Operations Consultant to serve as a trusted advisor across the employee lifecycle, leveraging data-driven insights and technology to optimize HR service delivery and employee experience.

The role partners with HRBPs and leaders to navigate complex employee matters, lead process improvements, and implement automation to strengthen organizational outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR Operations, Employee Relations, or HR Business Partner roles.
• Experience supporting and navigating HR systems; Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive HR operations support across the employee lifecycle.
• Administers leave of absence and accommodation programs (FMLA, ADA, military, personal leaves) and return-to-work planning.
• Conducts workplace investigations and supports policy violations, performance issues and disciplinary actions with HRBP, Legal, leaders and employees.
• Performs HR technology and Workday administration, including business process support, data audits, and troubleshooting.
• Manages escalated HR service requests and cross-functional case management for timely resolution and improved experiences.
• Partners with HR Business Partners to support employee and labor relations, organizational changes, and change management initiatives; may support workforce planning.
• Leads or participates in HR projects, automation opportunities, and process improvements for better service delivery and data integrity.
• Develops and analyzes HR operational metrics, dashboards, and reports to inform decisions and measure performance.
• Serves as liaison with vendors, IT, and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and issue resolution.
