Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a People Business Partner III to support our Tech and Product teams. This role is an individual contributor at a manager level, serving as a strategic partner to senior leaders to shape and execute people strategies that drive business outcomes.

You will work with autonomy to influence organizational design, performance, and talent, challenging assumptions and delivering scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering & Product Expertise: 6+ years as a People Business Partner supporting senior leaders in Engineering and Product organizations.
• Stakeholder Influence & Coaching: Partner with VP-level stakeholders; strong coaching to develop leaders.
• Strategic Org Management: Experience leading organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
• Complex Relations & Judgment: Experience managing complex employee relations and performance issues.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Analyze data to drive people strategies and outcomes.
• Independent Execution: Ability to operate independently with multiple initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Impact: Drive cross-functional work through others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary People partner to VP-level and senior leaders across Tech and Product.
• Own and drive the people strategy for aligned orgs with clear, actionable plans.
• Lead workforce planning, org design, headcount strategy, and succession planning.
• Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and change management.
• Identify patterns across teams and design scalable solutions for health and efficiency.
• Lead organizational changes such as restructures and leadership transitions.
• Leverage data and feedback to inform leadership decisions.
