Job summary

Marsh is hiring for a Pension Strategy & Solutions leader in the Investments and Retirement business. This hybrid role is flexible about location within our West region; Portland is among preferred bases, with a requirement to work at least three days in the office weekly.

You will lead advisory work on asset allocation, glide path design and risk management for pension plans, collaborating with consultants and portfolio managers to deliver high-quality insights and client impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of pension/investment strategy experience with depth in each area.
• Strong presentation, project management and communication skills.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design.
• High-level attention to detail and ability to connect details to the big picture.
• Ability to quickly understand asset-liability risk management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Advise on asset allocation and glide path design for pension plans.
• Develop investment strategies considering risk/return and plan design constraints.
• Collaborate with consultants and PMs to present asset-liability study results.
• Model pension liabilities and fixed income exposures using risk models.
• Lead advisory work on investment strategy and risk management for clients.
• Be a subject-matter expert in pension risk management and journey planning.
• Define and implement long-term business strategy and engage staff.
• Drive change initiatives and attract top talent to the team.
• Grow revenue by developing business with new and existing clients.
• Ensure professionalism and compliance processes are followed.
