Job summary

Amentum seeks a Penetration Tester 3 to join our Cyber, Security, & Intel team on a Prime contract. You will perform network and application testing, applying RMF knowledge to evaluate security controls and protect national missions.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT III certifications or equivalent, 8+ years of hands-on experience, and TS/SCI Poly clearance. This is a safety‑driven, diverse workplace with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering or related field.
• Eight+ years of Penetration Testing, network and application testing.
• DoD 8570 IAT III compliance – CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCSP, CISSP.
• In lieu of a degree, twelve years total experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert providing testing expertise of the Risk Management Framework.
• Direct and/or participate in the testing phase of security controls assessments using knowledge of networks, OS, architectures, equipment, services, and standards.
• Perform vulnerability and penetration testing using a wide variety of tools.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to information systems security; interpret federal security regulations.
• Perform both network and application-level testing using established testing protocols and methods.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or related field

DoD 8570 compliance with IAT III – CASP+CE (SecurityX), CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCSP, CISSP (or Associate)
