Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Penetration Tester 3 in Columbia, MD to join our Cyber, Security & Intel team on a federal contract. You will perform network and application-level testing, apply RMF guidance, and use a range of tools to identify vulnerabilities while suggesting actionable mitigations.

The role requires DoD 8570-level certifications, TS/SCI Poly, and a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (or 12 years of equivalent experience).

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of related work experience as a Penetration Tester performing network and application testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; or twelve years of combined experience in lieu of degree.
• In lieu of a degree, four additional years of Penetration Testing experience may be substituted for a total of twelve years.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME providing testing expertise of the RMF.
• Direct and/or participate in security controls testing.
• Perform vulnerability and penetration testing with diverse tools.
• Research emerging security technologies and interpret federal regulations.
• Test both network and application layers using established methods.
